Happy New Year Everyone!!
llllllllllllllllllll
Update! uPdAtE! (Not that we are that exciting!)
Jonathan and I went back to our home towns for the Holidays, and we had a blast! Not only were we absolutely SPOILED by everyone, (thanks to everyone who gave us gifts, we love everything!!) but we loved seeing our family and once again making the trek.....driving across the country. I believe I come back with two realizations when I drive across country.

1. Truck drivers are amazing and should be appreciated more for what they accomplish
2. America is beautiful, no matter how you look at it. The desert, the plains, the rolling hills of SW Pennsylvania, all the way down to the people you encounter along the way.
We are truly blessed to live in such a nation where we can actually believe in Jesus Christ, that He was born on Christmas day and celebrate by having the freedom to go shop, charge up as much as we want on our credit cards, and make a resolution to loose weight, eat better, spend more time with your family, spend less money, etc all in one weeks time.
Everyone says that the holidays are so exhausting, but I find them rejuvenating. How could you not? Spending time with family, thinking more about our Faith, (praying that the check doesn't bounce for peoples gifts.) It's all a rush, and I think we need more of it throughout the year! If we all lived a little more, laughed a little more, and loved more, we would all live LONGER, happier, healthier lives.
I love spending time with my family because they are so forgiving, loving, and so much fun. If any of you have spent time w/ any of my family you know we are always up for a chat, laugh, or a good game of cards. Just don't play my grandpa, he's too dang good!
Oh, and if you happen to be lucky enough to be at my grandparents, you know there will be good food involved. Pretty much my grandparents deserve the best in the world, because they are always willing to give to others. They seem to always go overboard, and they will be blessed for that, if not in this life, then definitely the one afterwards. I love them very much.
Anyways, This Christmas was the first time I had time/and a little extra money to actually give gifts, I think I actually enjoyed that more...giving gifts. (I wish I could give more, I promised myself if I ever became wealthy, I would always help others. I know what it's like to go without.
Trust me, this past year (well really the year before I got married,) was probably one of the darkest, hardest years of my life that I can recall, and I would never want anyone to feel as alone or as scared as I was then. I want to help others all I can, and have a family where my husband and I can always provide...that's one of my biggest fears.)
I honestly did NOT want to go to Jonathan's' in MD for Christmas Day. To be quite frank, I was seriously thinking a lot about just staying at my g-parents and letting him go. It's not that I don't like his family, it's just natural to like your own better! SO, we went, but not after I told him I didn't want to, and I had a great time. His family is so nice and very kind. I'm very blessed to have such a loving family. (I learned my lesson in a previous relationship, that when you are with the guy, the family comes too.)
Jonathan and I had our Christmas before we came out there, and as one of my presents he bought me a wii, with the wii fit program, I LOVE IT. And I bought him P90X...which makes the full circle to our New Years promises....
Jonathan and I started our workout/eating program today. It was intense, needless to say we are both very excited and can't wait to post our before & after photos in 90 days. P90X stands for Power (which your body develops) in 90 days, and X means extreme. I'm modifying it of course to accommodate my back and neck, which is a lot, but, it's what I need. Jonathan is bigger than he's ever been and I was getting very sick on and off with the pain killers I've been taking, so it's time to try "natural" healing. Eating healthy and exercising (what I can.) We are very ambitious about this and I'm so ready to be fit and healthy for really the first time in my life.
I also want to set an example that even though you get into an accident, doesn't mean you life ends...my car crash should've killed me, but here I am, over a year later able to walk talk and I even got married to a man who makes me happier than I could've ever asked for. I should appreciate and take advantage of all the wonderful things the body can do & accomplish...Take care of your body-
After all, it is a commandment.
One thing about eating healthy though, is that it's kind of expensive. But what it will save on the medical visits later on in life, pills and so on, we see it as worth it. I, on a personal note, also need to be fit, so when we have kids in a year that I can actually carry the child full term & with as little pain as possible. The more fit you are, the easier your pregnancy.....oh bring on the easy baby, because if it's mine...I'm sure the worst is yet to come.....HA HA. (for all of you that knew me during my lovely years as a young child. Ahhhh!!!)
SO many reasons to be healthy....those are just a few of them for me.
Jonathan & I wish everyone the best of luck in this year of 2009! We love you all, remember the Church is true and God Bless!!
