Mid-way Cali Evaluation!

Okay, so I've been in california for about 4 days now....and here is exactly what I think of the most liberal state in the nation!

So, as I entered into California, there was no sign, saying welcome ( are they really that bankrupt?!) Anyways, the traffic once I got about 30 miles close to the first city...Riverside, the traffic got horrific. Talk about ridiculous! It took me an hour extra to get to sheenas, needless to say, I refuse to drive around 5PM anywhere....

So a few complaints (imagine that) about the driving laws. First, everyone speeds, and I mean everyone. I wont' mention names, but everyone in this state speeds, I'm talking like 70 in a 45 zone. Motorcycles can drive inbetween cars here.....no matter what. People slam on there breaks constantly and it drives me crazy!

Anyways, lets go to the next subject. Prices....gas in utah is 1.73 a gallon....here it is almost a dollar more. 2.59 is the highest I've seen it, and the cheapest is 2.19 a gallon. Because the california government just decided to hike up taxes in a time of recession....oh that's another thing. People out here don't even know who nancy pelosi is! who are these people?! Most people I talk to politics about they say they'd rather not know how bad it is...to me that's saying, I'm not going to pay attention to my bills because I don't want to know how high it is...SICKENING. That's one of their state leaders!

Now, don't get me wrong, california is a beautiful state. It really is, the beaches are gorgeous, green mountains. but, something weird happened when I was driving in, they had a stop in the middle of the freeway to check and see if there were any fruits and vegetables in my vehicle.....what?!

Now, here I am, mad because it was sooo warm today in San Marcos, where sheena lives...like 80 degrees, and foggy/cold at the beach for 40 miles all along the coast! ARGH!

So, on Sunday, I wasn't very impressed either. Church was church...but here's the thing. I wasn't impressed with the intelect of people far older than me. I understand I'm an overly observant person and critical of other people. But when I was asked if a cow was a big animal, by a guy who's about 3o. I was very tempted to laugh in his face. These people here are city sheltered!!! Everything is at their fingertips....another way the government is dumbing down the american public is by making everything too convenient, too easy. What 30 year old doesn't know what a cow looks like? come on!

SO, all in all, I like the state, but I could never live here, too much common sense missing! where is this country going? And why are we doing nothing to stop it?

Where california goes, so does the rest of the nation, do you want your 3o yr. old son asking a girl someday if a cow is a big animal? I think NOT.

I agree with you! If I don't drive in California traffic again I will not be sad at all! It was good to see you and your pictures are awesome!
